David K. Richter '96 is Vice President with Bloomer deVere Group Avia in Rancho Santa Fe, California, specializing in the acquisition and sale of corporate aircraft.

Previously, he managed a small hedge fund, Magnum Portfolio Management. It
was purchased by H&R Block Financial Advisors in 2003. David worked for a
period with H&R Block to oversee client transition before starting his
current career. Prior to Magnum Portfolio Management, he was First Vice
President of Investments with Smith Barney. He serves as the President of
the San Diego Regional Aviation Association and is the Club Leader of the
UMass Amherst San Diego Alumni Club.

David graduated from UMass Amherst in 1996 with a Bachelor's degree in
Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration. While on campus, he served as
the Social Chairman and Pledgemaster for the Phi Mu Delta Fraternity.

David resides in San Diego, California with his wife and daughter and is an
elected member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. He serves on the Alumni Career Services Committee and the Alumni Clubs Committee and is a Life Member of the Alumni Association.
