James F. Sullivan '55 is the president of JFS Insurance Agency Inc. He retired after a distinguished career, spanning 36 years in the insurance industry. James is a member of the Isenberg School of Management Advisory Council and is involved with the UMass Foundation. He was the recipient of a Chancellor’s Medal and is the sponsor of the Kevin R. Sullivan Memorial Scholarship Fund. James is a trustee of Elms College, serves as a director of Hilltop Adult Services in West Springfield, Massachusetts and is a volunteer for the Western Massachusetts Elder Care.  He is also the director for Downey Side in Springfield, Massachusetts and has served on the Advisory Council for Cathedral High School. 

James graduated from UMass Amherst in 1955 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He resides in Ludlow, Massachusetts, Mashpee Massachusetts, and Bonita Springs, Florida. He is an emeritus member of the Alumni Association Board and serves on the Faculty Senate Athletic Council.
