Kathleen M. Mitchell '79 is the founder and managing director for Snow Cabin Goods, a design and marketing company of knitwear and home furnishings from Scotland. She also works with knitting cooperatives in former war torn regions to provide displaced women with employment opportunities, English language skills, and computer training.

Kathleen graduated from UMass Amherst in 1979 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is an active volunteer with the UMass Amherst Advocacy Program. She resides in Dover, Massachusetts.

Kathleen is the current president of the Alumni Association and serves on the Governance and Executive Committees. She has been a member of the Alumni Association since 2001.
