Alumni Association Board of Directors

Richard Williams '75 is a licensed agent for Mega Life and Health Insurance. He also enjoys working with his 86-year-old father hauling lobster traps off the coast of Maine. Previously, he held a variety of management positions and was a small business owner. He was a past president of Sterling Youth Soccer and served on the Wachusett Youth Soccer Association Board. Rick was the first president and organizer of the New England Recreational Vehicle Dealers' Association. Over the past 15 years, he has coached over 40 teams in t-ball, baseball, soccer and basketball.

Rick graduated from UMass Amherst in 1975 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. He resides in Prospect Harbor, Maine. Two of his sons are UMass Amherst alumni: Michael graduated from the School of Engineering and Gene attended the Isenberg School of Management. His third son, Neal, is currently enrolled at UMass Amherst and daughter Mende is attending the Boston Art Institute.

Rick is an elected member of the Alumni Association Board and serves on the Alumni Clubs Committee and Grants Review Committee. He has been a member of the Alumni Association since 2003.
