Bid on a Low Number UMass License Plate
If you have a car registered in Massachusetts, you can bid on low and special numbers of the UMass Amherst license plate in the upcoming auction, March 16-23, 2014. Take a look at the online catalog where you will find plates 3-99 and special plates 100, 123, 777, 911, 1001 and 2013 (some exclusions apply).
This auction is open to the public and winning bids are tax-deductible. Most importantly, auction proceeds benefit scholarships and programs provided by the Alumni Association that further advance UMass Amherst.

For those individuals who pre-ordered plates, you should have received a letter from MassDOT informing you that your plates are available for pick up at the MassDOT branch you requested on your application. How much does a UMass special license plate cost?
Costs include a $40 special plate fee and a $20 swap fee; $28 of the initial order and $40 with each renewal is tax-deductible.
*The UMass license plate is not available at the following branches: Attleboro, Natick and all AAA locations, as these branches are not full service locations.
