The Innovators Alumni Network invites you to the official launch of this valuable new professional group for UMass alumni.
Designed to provide opportunities to connect with fellow alumni business owners and innovators and to spark new ideas, this group has something for everyone!
Whether you are part of a large organization or a start-up, linking up with this group is a must for those driving the innovations of today and tomorrow.
Kick off the evening with Alaina Adams '05 MS, '08 PhD who will introduce the Network, share it's mission, and reveal future plans.
Then hear a keynote talk given by Cheryl Kaplan '94, co-founder and president of M.Gemi, a direct to consumer footwear label that is successfully marrying old-world craftsmanship with new world data and delivery. Driven by bringing Italian-made designs to shoppers in a wholly modern way, Kaplan will share her insights on building a rapidly-growing start-up that is at the forefront of modern luxury.
Kaplan was recently named one of 2018's Top Women in Retail by Total Retail, a leading organization for retail executives.
After the talk, network with fellow innovators including alumni working with Viamark Advertising, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and many more.
