Understanding alumni preferences and opinions is an important part of evaluating the current programming—as well as future efforts—of the UMass Amherst Alumni Association.  Based on a multi-generational survey of our alumni, we are making changes to better match interests and to increase the ongoing value of the UMass experience.

Communication
Overwhelmingly, our alumni are looking for information on upcoming events, new initiatives, achievements and the benefits associated with their UMass Amherst degree.  Our website, UMassAlumni.com, has been redesigned to provide this information and more.  Navigate through our new site to learn about all that your UMass Amherst community has to offer.

Online Directory
Login to our online directory to make new connections or reunite with friends. Use the advanced search features to find alumni in your class year, major, geographic area or profession. You can also update your personal profile, view your UMass credentials and giving history, and manage the information you’d like to share with others in the directory.*

Simply click on “Login” at the top of UMassAlumni.com.  First-time users will need to provide your Alumni ID to register. You can find your Alumni ID on the mailing labels of most UMass Amherst correspondence or you can send us a request at alumni@admin.umass.edu.

Career Development
We have a renewed focus on your career and professional development. Let us help you leverage your UMass connection to advance your career.  The UMass Amherst Alumni LinkedIn Group connects you with thousands of alumni in a variety of professions to share information, mentor and provide job leads.  You may also access online tools, webinars and career counselors to help take you to the next level.

Business owners and hiring managers—think UMass! Get maximum exposure to strong job candidates in our UMass community by posting your jobs with the Alumni Association.

Volunteer Opportunities
As proud alumni, you are seeking ways to give back to your alma mater by sharing your time and expertise.  The Association provides a number of meaningful volunteer opportunities that will help advance UMass Amherst and introduce you to like-minded alumni.  In addition, volunteering is a great way to enhance your communication, leadership and organizational skills while you grow your UMass network!

Alumni Networks
Our regional and affinity networks are expanding to meet alumni interests and extending the UMass experience throughout the country. Legal and Life Sciences Alumni Networks are working to connect alumni in those fields, while providing new learning opportunities through guest speakers and panel discussions.  Other newly formed networks include the LGBTQ Alumni Network, Entertainment Network and Black Alumni Network.

*The Alumni Association online directory is only available to UMass Amherst graduates and current students. The highest security protocols are in place, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems, the latest encryption technology and password protection, with security procedures tested regularly. Alumni information is only used for the purpose of supporting Alumni Association programs and activities, or services approved and sponsored by the Alumni Association. The Alumni Association will never sell or share information from the online directory with groups outside of the Alumni Association.
