UMass President Marty Meehan and UMass Amherst Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy invite the University of Massachusetts community to attend an event to honor Justice David A. Lowy '83 as we celebrate his recent appointment to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
Lowy is the first UMass Amherst graduate to serve on the state's highest court. He was one of three judges nominated by Governor Charlie Baker. Justice Lowy earned his bachelor’s degree in history from UMass Amherst in 1983, graduating as part of the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. He went on to earn his law degree from Boston University in 1987.
No cost to attend.
Includes light appetizers. A cash bar will be available.
